Sailed into Wurzburg today. Once docked, our tour started with short drive up to the Wurzburg Residenz, a walk through the Palace gardens, then a tour of the Palace itself. The tour finished back down in town at the Cathedral. 90% of the city was bombed during WWII.
In the afternoon, Danny & I chose to walk around town on our own while most went on a tour to Rothenburg Medieval Walled City.
During our wanderings, we were directed by a local to a memorial showing a model of the city after it was bombed and gave the whole story of the bombing and the city’s recovery.
The night ended with some good music and dancing in the Lounge with Josh & Grace. Tracey even got up to do the Nutbush ….. and before you ask, no there are no photos!
