While other passengers went off on a tour of yet another Palace, we had a leisurely breakfast and then took a shuttle bus into the city.
We did find some interesting sites but the main purpose was to fulfil an instruction from Tracey’s brother-in-law (thanks Brian!) to have a genuine Sachertorte. He did some research and directed us to the Hawelka Café.
We dutifully found the café and ordered coffee and chocolate and their famous Sachertorte. Very glad we did because it was scrumptious!
We then just strolled around, took some photos and purchased some souvenirs but since it had started to rain we decided to head back to the ship.
The afternoon was spent on board reading and updating this blog.
This evening we were given our disembarkation instructions and enjoyed the Captain’s farewell dinner. Sad that we’re coming to the end of the trip but we’ll be glad to get home.
