So we’ve made it to the end of the first week. No major dramas but the old adage that once you start fixing one thing, the next thing breaks is very true! The hot water system looks like it’s on it’s way out and then on Friday, Danny turned on the tap at the front of our driveway to water the plants and it wouldn’t turn off! So, he had the fun of having to replace the washer. Thankfully, no-one needed the water for a while as he had to turn it off at the mains and then go for a trip to Bunnings to get a new washer. Apart from the inconvenience of having tradies in our house every day except Sunday and the occasional surprise delivery (sand for the tilers next week arrived today – unbeknownst to the builder who was expecting it tomorrow), everything’s going well. The new electrics and plumbing are done. We’re just about sealed with new dry-wall and the first stage of waterproofing has been done.
