After such a long day yesterday and continuous travel for the previous few days (not to mention having the flu before we left!), Danny needed a day for his body to rest. He did remarkably well to last this long!
The rest of us started our day at Seal Bay where we had a guided tour and a photo opportunity.
The photos from today are all mine as I had Barb’s spare camera again. I can’t lay claim to being much of a photographer but I do love my little seal, he/she was very cute!
The seals sleep and rest all the way along this stretch of beach – in the “outlook” photo you can see the boardwalk all the way to the spot below the outlook and there are actually seals dotted all along that stretch.
Next came the Birds of Prey Show at the Raptor Domain. They have two presenters and they alternated displaying and talking about the birds – including a magpie. The public are allowed to have some of the birds sit on their hands (with appropriate protection). It is very obvious that these guys love their charges.
After that we moved on to Vivonne Bay to get some quick photos and then back to Kingscote where we picked Danny up on the way through to get afternoon tea.
He’d had an interesting day walking into town and back (45 minutes each way) …. so much for resting!
