Today was the first real “location” day for the trip. We started with breakfast in our cabins and then Danny had a wander around taking photos near our accommodation.
First stop on the way to Dudley Wines was when we drove over a hill and couldn’t resist stopping to admire the view. I even grabbed Danny’s camera and took a couple of shots.
Morning tea (thanks to Wally’s penchant for coffee, we never went long without a hot beverage), wine tasting and lunch were all at Dudley Wines and as you can see by the photos, when you drive into the property you have no idea what will greet you as you walk through to the deck out the back.
As always, we had plenty of photo opportunities on the way to our next destination which was Cape Willoughby lighthouse. This was the first lighthouse erected in South Australia. They have a “life-size” lens on site that allows you to climb in. These old lenses were enormous! The tour of the Lighthouse included climbing to the top to see the view. Well worth the effort, I can assure you!
