As usual, we started early and thanks to Naomi (who very kindly drove us to Parramatta train station) we arrived at Sydney Airport in plenty of time for our 1:30pm flight.
Since it was SOOOO early (10:30am), we stopped for morning tea at the only café outside the security gates.
The flight was uneventful and we arrived in Adelaide on time and headed to our accommodation for the night – Miller Apartments.
We met up with Wally & Linda for dinner at the Strathmore Hotel. As it was the Adelaide local AFL final that day, it was a little noisy with celebrating fans but the food and service were pretty good.
It was lovely to meet Wally & Linda. They, along with the rest of the group, are from Queensland and have known Ralph & Barbara (the organizers of the trip) for a number of years through their common interest in photography. Both Wally & Linda are photographers. Linda is originally from New Zealand and Wally is from England. Great company and we immediately felt quite at home with them.
After a long day, it was really nice to get to bed early ready for the beginning of the “Kangaroo Island Wildlife and Wilderness Tour 2018”.
